ModuResources USA seeks a Finance Assistant to join our growing team.

ModuResources USA Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Finance Assistant to become part of a true team environment with the preferred supplier of choice for Independent Third Party Rig Inspection and Well Intervention services.

We seek a highly ethical, energetic, self-driven accounting support professional with a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to the continued growth of our company.

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Americas, you will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, and other general financial activity support as needed, as a means to support the Finance department’s accuracy and reporting to serve the company regionally and globally.

This member will be instrumental in the growth, compliance, and integrity of the company’s financial status. 

About you

While you are precise and detail oriented, you have the ability to see the bigger picture. You are equally comfortable working independently, and with groups. As you possess excellent communication skills, you are comfortable engaging with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Your Experience and Skillset Include:

  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred, but not required)
  • At least 5 to 10 years accounting support experience
  • Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Proficient in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and their related GAAP principles
  • Comfortable with using and navigating online portals for invoicing and supplier relation purposes
  • Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft suite of applications, with exceptional focus on Excel
  • Operates with accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with use and calculation of various currencies.
  • Sufficient math skills to handle financial data
  • Strong commitment to integrity and confidentiality
  • Flexibility during audit / budget / tax seasons
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with senior level Client management and internal senior level management.
  • Spanish as a second language is desirable, but not required.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Receive, code, and process Accounts Payable payments in a timely manner
  • Accurately develop and issue Accounts Receivable invoices
  • Collect on any past due receivables, and rectify and reconcile any discrepancies
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities.
  • Maintain and improve the organization’s bookkeeping processes and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
  • Adhere to and meet global and regional accounting policy requirements and deadlines.
  • Represent the MR brand professionally within the industry.
  • Participate in weekly meetings as a representative of the Finance department
  • Adhere to all applicable quality, business and customer processes, procedures and standards.
  • Other duties as required.

The Position:

Surveyors will work alongside and be supported by the Company’s global technical support teams and be jointly responsible for the provision and delivery of professional third-party inspection services. Applicants must be competent and possess a detailed understanding of current and relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements and industry practices that relate to Client’s operations. Applicants should be willing to conduct technical work scopes globally in accordance with all applicable regulatory and international industry standards for both fixed and mobile offshore installations.

Applicants should ideally be trade or degree qualified with a minimum of 10-15 years operational experience which may include both land and/or offshore operations, be willing to travel as required, and possess good communication skills with a keen eye for detail. A good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written as well as computer literacy form important skills as part of the role.
