Understanding Root Cause Analysis

3 hour sessions providing an introduction to Root Cause Analysis (RCA). The course aims to provide participants a basic fundamental understanding of RCA and introduces some of the current industry RCA methodologies.

This introductory course teaches:

  • What RCA is and how it can benefit your organisation
  • The principles behind RCA
  • What is required to carry out a successful RCA
  • Introduction to the concept of event and fault tree analysis
  • Introduce RCA concepts such as 5-Whys, Fishbone analysis, Logic tree
  • Brief overview of proprietary RCA tools such as PROACT,  TAPROOT,  APOLLO

This course has been developed for Process Engineers, Maintenance and Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Managers, Operations Managers, and Asset Management Professionals.  Participants benefit from experienced lecturers and updated curriculum aimed at providing an introduction to, or suplimenting a candidates’ knowledge of Asset Maintenance and Reliability.

Online assessment and certification

Assessment is central to our modular courses, which is driven by competency. Participants who successfully complete the Virtual Instructor Led modules and theory assessment after each module will receive a ModuSpec Certificate of Attendance.
